Score 94/100 · Drink 2018-2028, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Apr 2018

The 2016 Pinot Noir Moonshine Ranch is ripe, racy and voluptuous, all while retaining the mid-weight feel that is typical of the 2016 Pinots here. Succulent dark cherry and plum fruit flesh out in this pliant, wonderfully inviting Pinot. Hints of spice, leather and tobacco add the closing layers of nuance. I would prefer to drink this forward Pinot over the next decade or so.

Score 94/100 · Drink 2018-2029, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Apr 2018

The 2016 Pinot Noir Moonshine Ranch is medium ruby-purple colored and features lovely dried herbs and damp soil notions over a compelling core of crushed blueberries, plums and black cherries plus a touch of licorice. The palate is full-bodied, rich and opulent with seamless background acid and beautifully plush tannins, finishing very long and with bags of spices coming through. 243 cases produced.

Martinelli

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
