The 2018 Syrah Estate Harrison Grade has really come together since I last tasted it. Today, it is a rich, dense Syrah built on texture. Black cherry, chocolate, game, tobacco and incense give the 2018 its distinctly dark, brooding personality. There 's quite a bit of stem influence (67%) but it works well.

The 2018 Syrah Harrison Grade Estate is powerful and wild, but also not totally put together right now. Then again, it is still in puncheon and the stem component, at 67% is pretty high. There is plenty of depth and fruit intensity, but the elements have not fully melded. The 2018 won't be bottled for a few months, so there is time for the elements to integrate more fully in élevage.
