Score 89+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2010

Crushed rock, menthol and a whiff of cherry-almond on the nose; a bit more exotic than the premier crus from Meursault. Juicy and sweet but not especially fleshy, with a slight warmth giving the wine a disjointed quality today. Doesn't offer quite the same balance as the Meursault premier crus but finishes with very good persistence. The 2009 is easier to taste today, if a bit more exotic.

Pretty aromas of tangerine, spices and almond blossom. Juicy and intensely flavored, with bright acidity giving a light touch and good lift to this rather dense and ripe wine. Shows more oak today than Boyer's other 2008s, but also good mineral lift and a persistent aftertaste.
