Score 94/100 · Drink 2016-2022, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Aug 2016

Coming all from Dijon clones (115 and 667), the 2014 Pinot Noir The Prospect Sierra Madre Vineyard is more pretty, forward and voluptuous, with lots of black cherry, spring flowers and forest floor aromas and flavors, full-bodied richness and a sexy, layered, downright hard to resist texture. Aged in 50% new French oak, drink it while you wait on the others to come around.

Dark red cherry, plum, spice, menthol and new leather are some of the signatures in the 2014 Pinot Noir The Prospect Sierra Madre Vineyard. As with the Chardonnay from this site, my feeling is that the new oak is intrusive. Otherwise, this is a fine effort. The flavors are bold, juicy and fruit forward throughout.
