Score 90-93/100 · Drink 2013-2028, Robert Parker, Oct 2013

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Entre Nous (90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot) is slightly closed (even though it was a barrel sample). It is a rich, dense, fruity, dark ruby/purple-colored effort exhibiting lots of black currant notes intertwined with background toast, forest floor and unsmoked cigar tobacco. It is not an exuberant, in-your-face Cabernet (a characteristic of many 2012s), and should drink nicely for 10-15 years. The harvest in 2012 was not early, ending on October 19. This was my first tasting of these wines from a 26-acre vineyard managed by superstar viticulturist David Abreu. Kristine Ashe, a grower for ten years, finally decided to estate bottle her wines in 2007. Production remains low as Ashe is still selling some of the fruit from her holdings. Tel. (707) 982-8000
