Tasting notes
There's a single barrel of the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon The Magnificent Seven, a mix of the top lots from the three Beckstoffer vineyards. It reveals a saturated purple color as well as stunning notes of crème de cassis, graphite, tobacco, ground herbs, earth, and cigar wrapper. With a huge, opulent mid-palate, serious full-bodied richness, ripe tannins, and a huge finish, it's certainly the most powerful and opulent wine in the lineup as well as one of the top wines made in the vintage.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon The Magnificent Seven sings of toasty/meaty/savory notions including beef jerky, tapenade, sautéed herbs and yeast extract over a core of baked blackcurrants and plums plus a waft of tar. Full-bodied, the palate has a solid structure of firm, grainy tannins and background freshness supporting the generous fruit, finishing long and earthy. 25 cases were made.
