The 2019 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard has rich aromas of smoky cedar, five spice, and baked raspberry. The palate is soft, with ripe up-front fruit of red cherry and dusty earth, followed by orange peel citrus on the finish. This is a classic style of Pinot Noir to enjoy over the next 5-6 years.

Full bottle 1,434 g. 16 months in French oak, 56% new. TA 6.6 g/l, pH 3.46. Tasted blind. Warm very ripe black cherries, oozing sticky ripe juice, vanilla, toasted seaweed, sesame seeds, savoury, ripe, full-bodied, mouth-watering. It's now developed into a sticky cherry and toasted-sesame vanilla brittle but quite dry on the palate. (SCJ)
