Tasting notes
I enjoyed the juicy, seductive, dark ruby/plum-colored 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon for its copious black currant, cherry, licorice and cedar-like characteristics. Evolved, medium-bodied and elegant, this blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc should drink well for 10-12+ years. Tel. (707) 253-8300

(blended with bits of cabernet franc and petit verdot): Bright ruby-red. Aromas of cassis, menthol, smoked meat and licorice are lifted by fresh herbs. Supple on entry, then creamy in the middle, with black fruit flavors carrying a rather heavy dose of oak. Undeniably sweet and round but a bit aggressive with alcohol today (the label says 14.8%). Finishes with a serious dusting of tannins. Best for fans of oaky, creamy cabernets.
