Tasting notes
Deceptively medium in body, the 2014 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard packs a real punch. Dark red and purplish hued fruit fills out the wine's ample frame effortlessly. There is no shortage of power or intensity, but the tannins need time to soften. Underlying beams of salinity extend the finish nicely.

Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2014 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard has a pretty perfume of lavender and rose hip tea over a core of red currents, raspberry leaves and forest floor. Light to medium-bodied, the palate exudes fresh red berry and gentle herbal flavors with a delicate frame of grainy tannins and lively acid, finishing long and earthy. 430 cases were made.
A wine of extraordinary precision, the 2014 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard possesses a stunning combination of aromatics, fruit and structure. The 2014 Savoy is a wine that could very well turn out to be a modern-day reference point for Anderson Valley. The aromatics alone are compelling, but there is so much more to the wine than that. I tasted the 2014 from barrel, where it had been aging since being barreled down, with no racking.
