The 2019 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard comes from vines planted in 1991-1993 at the cooler northern end of the Anderson Valley. It has a medium ruby color and slowly unfurls aromas of raspberry jam, tobacco, conifer, graphite and bergamot. Medium-bodied, powerful and expressive, it has concentrated flavors for its seamless, silty frame. It finishes with latent spicy accents that suggest it has a long life ahead in the cellar. Only 300 cases were made.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard is a wine of remarkable precision. Savoy Pinots are often quite forward, but Littorai's 2019 is all energy and verve. Mint, white pepper, alpine flowers and bright red fruit lend striking aromatic brilliance to this finely sculpted, translucent Pinot. What a great way to start this tasting.
