Score 89/100 · Drink 2013-2016, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2012
The 2009 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast comes across as a bit ethereal, which is quite typical for the appellation. Crushed flowers, dried cherries, mint, licorice and sweet spices are some of the notes that waft from the glass in this pretty, beautifully articulated wine.

Medium red. Restrained but complex and pure aromas of wild red berries, cherry, rose petal and black tea. Sweet, complex and perfumed on the palate, with strawberry, redcurrant and spice flavors showing suave, layered depth. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins and a lovely light touch, echoing the floral note. I really like this wine's finesse.
