Bright gold. A wild, pungent bouquet evokes wet stone, iodine, pear skin and citrus pith, along with a smoky overtone. Rich and fleshy but dry, offering oak-spiced lime, anise and pear skin flavors underscored by dusty minerals and a gingery nuance. This really stains the palate. Closes silky and extremely long, with resonating mineral and spice notes and excellent clarity. Shows the vivacity of the vintage to full effect but there's serious power and depth of flavor here as well.
About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
