A very good effort, the forward 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up notes of red and black currants, licorice, underbrush and a hint of roasted herbs It is a medium-bodied, soft, round wine to drink over the next 7-8 years. This new operation that hired talented winemaking consultant Luc Morlet is fashioning an assortment of reds and whites, including a Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon blend, Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs, Syrahs and Cabernet Sauvignons. www.carteblanchewine.com
