Tasting notes
Starting with the 2017 Pinot Noir Rita's Crown Vineyard, it has a stunning depth of fruit as well as notes of black cherries, blackberries, spice box, dried herbs, and hints of salty minerality. With medium to full body, a seamless texture, ripe tannins, and just a pure, incredibly classic style, it's beautiful today and will cruise in cool cellars for two decades.

Made with 20% whole cluster and aged 16 months in 70% new French oak, the medium to deep ruby-purple colored 2017 Pinot Noir Bentrock Vineyard reveals pronounced Bing cherries, raspberry leaves and black raspberry scents with hints of bay leaves, lavender and tilled soil. Medium-bodied, the palate is filled with fresh red berry flavors and loads of herbal sparks, framed by chewy tannins and finishing on a mineral note. 470 cases produced.
The 2017 Pinot Noir Absolutely Eloise Sun Chase Vineyard comes all from a site in Sonoma County and was fermented with 10% stems followed by 16 months in 70% new French oak. It offers a ripe, sexy profile that carries loads of black cherries, baking spices, applewood, and crushed flower. It's ripe, opulent, and flamboyant, yet like everything from Boswell, stays balanced, pure, and beautifully seamless on the palate. It's a thrilling effort from this team to drink over the coming 7-8 years, although I wouldn't be surprised to see it keep longer.
