Medium red, a bit less saturated than the Ruchots. Wild aromas of raspberry, crushed stone, spices, dried flowers and musky earth. Very closed today, even imploded, showing limited flesh and early sweetness. This very tight grand cru is hiding more than it's showing today. Plenty of length here but the tannins are a bit dusty. A puzzling showing.

(all destemmed; 40% new oak): Good bright red. Reduced aromas of black cherry, violet, smoke and crushed stone. Sappy, supple and deep, with rose petal and spice flavors giving the middle palate a light touch. Finishes with substantial fine-grained tannins and very good grip and length.
