Tasting notes
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Herold wraps around the palate with gorgeous depth and tons of resonance. Radiant, expressive and ready to deliver maximum pleasure with no delay, the 2012 is a prototypical 2012. Hints of iron, smoke and tobacco add an element of savory complexity to the opulent dark fruit.

The big wines from Mark Herold are his Cabernet Sauvignons, and these are a lot more expensive and far richer and more intense. The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Herold is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (575 cases). A classic 2012, showing plenty of crème de cassis, blackberry, charcoal and graphite notes, the wine is full-bodied with sweet toasty, high-quality French oak and a long, layered multidimensional mouthfeel. An impressive wine to drink over the next 10-15 years.
