Score 92/100 · Drink 2005-2012, Pierre Rovani, Feb 2004

Lively minerals, earth, chalk, and pears can be found in the nose of the 2002 Batard-Montrachet. A medium-bodied, deep, satiny-textured wine, it is fleshy, concentrated, and reveals a long finish. Loads of pears are intermingled with gravel in its rich, expressive character. Projected maturity: 2005-2012. Importer: Robert Chadderdon Selections, New York, NY; tel. (212) 757-8185
