Score 93/100 · Drink 2019-2029, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, May 2018
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is excellent, revealing a rich bouquet of smoky cassis, plums, black olive and licorice. On the palate, it's full-bodied, powerful and complete, with a massive, layered mid-palate and a long, savory finish. This is an unabashedly powerful Cabernet that reflects the low yields and warm conditions of the 2013 vintage.

Opaque ruby. High-pitched aromas of ripe red fruits, peppery spices and fresh flowers, with a subtle vanilla quality in the background. On the palate, juicy redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors are complicated by hints of dark chocolate and allspice. Tightens up on the youthfully tannic finish, which clings with very good spicy tenacity.
