It's a total rock star of a wine and boasts a saturated purple color, a flamboyant, full-bodied, sexy style, awesome notes of cassis, toasty oak, tobacco, and graphite, sweet tannins, and thrilling purity of fruit. It ranks with the creme de la creme of Howell Mountain and has 2-3 decades of longevity ahead of it.

Cade's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is gorgeous. Firm, powerful and savory, the Estate is a terrific example of Howell Mountain Cabernet. Red cherry jam, graphite, scorched earth, iron, menthol, grilled herbs and cedar all run through this potent, firm Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, the 2016 is positively bristling with energy. It can be enjoyed young or cellared. Dollops of Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot round out the blend. (AG)

The 2016 Cade Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 7% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot. It has a deep purple-black color and wonderfully pure, vibrant notes of crushed blackcurrants, black cherries and baker's chocolate with touches of Indian spices, licorice and cloves plus an earthy waft of damp soil.
