Score 93/100 · Drink 2015-2022, Robert Parker, Oct 2015

The 2013 Chardonnay Savoy, which is organically farmed, is a blend of mostly Old Wente clones, with some of the Prosser clone material that one sees farther north in Washington State more than California. This wine shows loads of minerality and an almost grand cru Chablis-like citrus and floral character, medium to full body, great acidity and low levels of oak, which seems to be pushed completely to the background. This wine should drink well for 5-7 years.

Much more direct than the Wingtine, the 2013 Chardonnay Savoy is decidedly powerful and intense, with a firm structural backbone and plenty of energy. White and yellow stone fruits, orange blossoms and mint wrap around the deep finish.
