Pure aromas of lemon and crushed stone. Sweet, sweet and nuanced, with palate-staining flavors of lemon, orange, oatmeal and liquid stone. The stony minerality became more dominant as this superb wine opened in the glass. Finishes with terrific lift. (Boyer also did a limited late bottling of Perrieres for his own edification, and, as with the Narvaux, this wine also seemed sweeter and broader than the commercial bottling, but will need time to absorb some of its baby fat.)

Aromas of vineyard peach, ginger and crushed rock, plus a whiff of resiny apple. Fat and full in the mouth; less youthfully forbidding than the 2007 but still quite dry. In a rather tired phase of its elevage and in need of a sulfur treatment. Quite possibly better than it's showing today, but does it have the mineral energy of the 2007?
