Boswell's 2022 Absolutely Eloise Pinot Noir Rita’s Crown Vineyard is the last vintage, as the vineyard has been purchased by Constellation. All destemmed, it's still vaguely herbal and cinnamon-scented on the nose, marked by coolish aromas and ripe cherries. Just medium-bodied, it's quite fine and delicate, while retaining a strong core of acidity and a long, mouthwatering finish.

Black cherries, leather, rose petals, and violet notes are just some of the nuances in the 2022 Pinot Noir Rita's Crown Vineyard, a broad, medium to full-bodied, opulently styled beauty that has ripe tannins, beautiful overall balance, and a great finish. It plays in the more open-knit style of the vintage but has so much character and charm. I followed this bottle for multiple days, and it was even better on day two, so don't be afraid to give it plenty of air if drinking any time soon. It will drink brilliantly through 2032.
The 2022 Pinot Noir Absolutely Eloise Rita's Crown is terrific. Soaring aromatics are immediately arresting. Crushed rocks, herbs, dried flowers, tobacco and white pepper weave through a core of red cherry fruit. This aromatic, savory Pinot has so much character. Despite its mid-weight personality, the Rita's Crown offers plenty of intensity. The 2022 is superb.
