Good full medium red. Sweet cherry and licorice on the nose. At once solid and juicy; less sweet and more tightly wound today than the Cote de Beaune examples. A fruity, fresh style, structured to age and in need of seven or eight years of patience.

Full ruby-red. Cool aromas of blackberry, violet and spicy oak. Juicy, floral and quite pure, with spicy black cherry flavor. Not a fleshy wine but intense, subtle and clean, with an enticing sugar/acid balance. The tannins are quite fine. This was vinified with 25% whole clusters.
