Score 90/100 · Drink 2011-2015, Robert Parker, Feb 2011
The 2008 Pinot Noir Akiko’s Cuvee is another Sonoma Coast wine with a similar medium ruby color. The sweetest raspberry and wild strawberry fruit are found in this particular offering. There are also some foresty, mossy notes, medium body, and elegant, complex aromatics and flavors. It is not a big wine, but a flavorful, complex one to drink over the next 3-4 years. Tel. Light, vivid red. High-pitched, spicy aromas of strawberry, raspberry, rose and violet. Lush, juicy and gently sweet, offering potent red berry preserve and cola flavors and sexy spice and floral elements. Finishes with refreshing spiciness and lingering floral notes.
