Tasting notes
(15.9% alcohol) Saturated ruby. Blackberry, pepper, gunflint and potpourri spices on the nose. Dense, fat and compellingly sweet, with lush flavors of black raspberry and smoked meat. Not subtle but not heavy either. Wonderfully rich and tactile wine, finishing with outstanding persistence.

There are only 400 six-packs of the 2002 Syrah Lorraine Vineyard. A flamboyant wine with a sensational nose of blackberry liqueur, melted licorice, acacia flowers, crushed stones, and a hint of blueberries, it is seamlessly assembled with fabulous concentration, an expansive, full-bodied palate, and an amazingly long finish that lasts well over a minute. Consume it during its first 10-12 years of life. Most of these wines are sold via Alban’s mailing list, so if you love Rhone Ranger wines, it’s time to enjoy these remarkable offerings. Tel.
