Tasting notes
Score 88/100 · Drink 2002-2017, Robert Parker, Dec 2000

This cuvee of 41,832 bottles possesses a Bordeaux-like austerity, as well as abundant quantities of sweet cassis, cedar, and spice notes in the complex bouquet. The dark ruby color is followed by a dense, concentrated wine with an emphasis on elegance and symmetry as opposed to power and flamboyance. The finish is quite tannic. Cellar this 1997 for 2-3 years and consume it over the following 12-15. All this for a mere $90.00. (Release date 3/01) Tel. (707) 967-4188; Fax (707) 963-2753
