2020 Arkenstone Sauvignon Blanc

Arkenstone's 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Estate includes 6% Sémillon, a proportion that varies from vintage to vintage. It's primarily barrel-fermented and aged in a mix of new and used wood, although there's a concrete-egg component as well. The result is a delightful mix of pineapple, fig, melon and grapefruit, accented by slightly pungent, boxwood-y notes. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a gentle creaminess to the texture, and it has a long, balanced finish. Impressive stuff.
