The 2014 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard is another silky, savory effort from Roar that offers lots of dried spice, dried flowers and red fruits as well as medium-bodied richness, a supple texture and outstanding length. It shows the fresher style of this site and is already drinking beautifully. Nevertheless, it should keep through 2024.

Vivid ruby-red. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red berries, Asian spices and cola, plus a smoky mineral topnote. Sappy, alluringly sweet and energetic on the palate, offering intense raspberry and rose pastille flavors that open up nicely with aeration. The cola and mineral notes reappear on a strikingly long, spice-accented finish that's framed by supple, well-integrated tannins.
