Score 89/100 · Drink 2016-2023, Robert Parker, Dec 2015
One of the flagship wines, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Il Barone was aged 20 months in French oak, and while it’s soft and round and juicy, it’s best drunk over the next 5-7 years.

Score 92-94/100 · Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2014
A dark, beguiling beauty, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Il Barone races across the palate with a compelling array of blue and purplish fruits, smoke, tobacco and cedar. The tannins are a bit firm today, but there is more than enough depth and mid-palate richness to balance things out nicely. More importantly, the 2013 offers tons of potential.
