Good full ruby-red. Briary dark berries and licorice on the slightly liqueur-like nose. Spicy red fruit and pepper flavors are nicely framed by fresh acidity. Offers good texture and finishes with substantial tannins. This is always good value.

Score 88-89/100 · Drink 2007-2010, Robert Parker, Dec 2007

The easiest drinking Zinfandel, at least one meant for immediate consumption (although one could argue that all Zinfandels should be consumed in the near-term) is the 2006 Juvenile. Made from the young-vine cuvees at Turley, the wine is a sensual, up-front, medium-bodied Zinfandel with dark ruby color, plenty of berry fruit, but some underbrush, pepper, and spice. Drink it over the next several years. (Not yet released) Tel. (707) 963-0940; Fax (707) 963-8683
