Score 94/100 · Drink 2016-2031, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Sep 2016

Closest in character to the Champoux Vineyard release, the 2011 Sorella has a first rate bouquet of lead pencil shavings, graphite, licorice, smoked earth and black currants. Still youthful and lively, it shows the more mid-weight style of the vintage, yet has beautiful balance, pure fruit and fine tannin on the finish. It's a straight up classy wine to enjoy anytime over the coming 10-15 years.

68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Compressed, tight nose. Very tannic palate, dry and lean. This is bottled austerity. Highly likely to soften and unfurl with time in bottle. (RH)
