Tasting notes
Dark red cherry, plum, wild flowers, cinnamon and mint lift from the glass in Keever's 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2012 is floral, mid-weight and gracious, with a classic sense of structure and lovey overall balance. This open, accessible Cabernet Sauvignon is a terrific choice for drinking over the next few years.

Softer than the 2013, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon offers lots of notes of unsmoked cigar tobacco, blackcurrants, licorice and Christmas fruitcake. Sensual, opulent, fleshy and full-bodied with decent acidity and pure, layered fruit, it can be enjoyed over the next 10-15 years.
Saturated ruby-red. Black fruits, dark chocolate and minerals on the nose. Sweeter, deeper and more concentrated than the 2011 bottling, showing a grapey quality to the cassis, dark chocolate and spice flavors. There's more mid-palate material here to support the wine's substantial, slightly dry-edged tannins.
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon jumps from the glass with dark plum, spice, and licorice notes. A texturally inviting, layered Cabernet Sauvignon the 2012 captures the essence of the year. Today the 2012 is racy, polished and incredibly promising. I can’t wait to taste it again next year.
