Score 95/100 · Drink 2009-2017, Robert Parker, Aug 2009

The outrageously sumptuous, complex 2007 Pinot Noir Garys’ Vineyard is a compelling example of Pinot Noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands. Ten to twelve percent whole clusters were used during fermentation, and the wine was aged in 50% new oak. Sumptuous aromas of kirsch, black raspberries, fresh mushrooms, and forest floor are very Burgundian as well as intense. In the mouth, the wine is full and beautifully concentrated with silky tannins and a long finish. Drink this sensational Pinot over the next 5-8+ years. Tel. (800) 946-3130; Fax (831) 675-2557
