Good deep red. Captivating, perfumed nose offers wild scents of red berries, flowers, minerals and leather. Sappy and sweet on the palate, with lively acidity framing the spicy dark cherry and raspberry flavors. Finishes with powerful but nicely integrated, fine-grained tannins and noteworthy energy and cut. This is already quite expressive but will be even better with a few years of aging and should evolve slowly.

The 2013 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru has a tightly wound bouquet with blackberry, iodine and cassis scents that gradually unfold in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and here the oak is nicely integrated with supple tannins and a linear finish that is just missing a little tension at the moment. Let’s see how this evolves in bottle.
