Tasting notes
The 2014 Tapestry Reserve, Beaulieu Vineyard's Cabernet Sauvignon-based red, is forward, supple and fruity. Succulent red cherry and plum fruit are pushed forward. The blending varieties add suppleness and mid-palate softness. Although not that different from the other wines, the 2015 is nicely done.

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Tapestry offers more purity of fruit as well as notes of black raspberries, currants, smoked herbs and damp earth. It's charming, plump, attractive and nicely balanced, with a ready to go feel.
Blended of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Merlot with dollops of Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc, the 2014 Reserve Tapestry Proprietary Red Wine opens with crème de cassis and blackberry tart notes over hints of menthol, incense and Christmas cake, plus a waft of dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is flamboyant, rich, velvety and seductive, with a lively lift in the mid-palate and a long, spicy finish. 18,000 cases made.
