Score 87/100 · Drink 2008, Robert Parker, Jan 2000
The elegant, restrained 1996 Tapestry Reserve Proprietary Red is a good, politely-styled blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Medium-bodied, with copious quantities of new oak, this austere Bordeaux "wannabe" should be drunk over the next 7-8 years. This wine needs more mid-palate as well as additional layers of flavor. Less acidification would open up the wine's texture. Tel. (707) 963-2411; Fax (707) 963-5920
