Tasting notes
(15.9% alcohol) Bright red-ruby. Expansive aromas of cherry, briary raspberry and pepper. Creamy in texture but at the same time bright and juicy, with lovely peppery, floral lift to the red fruit flavors. Finishes spicy, smooth and long, with pliant tannins. This was a very strong zinfandel vintage in the Paso Robles area, noted winemaker Ehren Jordan.

From the limestone soils of Paso Robles, the 2006 Zinfandel Pesenti is a beauty. The limestone seems to give Zinfandels in that area acidity, vibrancy, and aromatic personalities, but without sacrificing the intrinsic richness and intensity from low yields. This wine boasts fabulous briery, blackberry, and cherry fruit, a crushed rock note, and a long, heady finish. This is super Zinfandel that should last 7-8 years. (Not yet released) Tel.
