Score 94/100 · Drink 2014-2018, Robert Parker, Dec 2014
The 2012 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch Rued Vineyard, which comes from old vines and the Rued clone, possesses more exotic tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple intermixed with notions of marmalade, white peach, earth and subtle smoky oak, and a fleshy, rich, long mouthfeel. Drink now-2018.

Score 89/100 · Drink 2014-2020, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2014
Dried pears, roasted nuts, spices and licorice meld together in the 2012 Chardonnay Rued Vineyard Dutton Ranch. The exotic notes typical of the Rued clone are a bit missing here. The 2012 is big, rich, intense and phenolic, with considerable weight, yet the wine never seems to fully come together in the glass. It will be interesting to see where the 2012 goes over the coming months.
