Tasting notes
Just when I think I have tasted the best Bedrock has to offer with the Monte Rosso, the Pagani arrives. A huge, powerful wine, the Pagani is marked by its huge center of fruit, fabulous inner sweetness and exceptional balance. The huge, dramatic finish along is compelling. Today, the Pagani is intense and still a bit raw, but it is stunningly beautiful just the same.

The 2014 Proprietary Red Pagani Ranch Heritage is another mixed-black blend offering up loads of licorice, pepper, dusty, loamy soil notes, herbs and black and red fruits in a surprisingly elegant, crisp style. There is a real freshness and vibrancy, and again, a somewhat Pinot Noir-like sensitivity in this broad, savory wine. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
