Brambly, complex and elegant, the 2003 David Arthur Elevation 1147 has aged beautifully, and is just now at the early stages of maturity. It’s still youthful ruby color is followed by a terrific perfume of blackcurrant jam, plums, incense, Asian spices, and licorice. Opulent, layered and undeniably sexy, with impeccable balance, it has another decade of prime drinking, and will have a gradual decline after that.
