Score 93/100 · Drink 2020-2030, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Dec 2019

The 2017 Chardonnay Allen Vineyard is youthfully restrained, slowly giving up wet stone, lemon pith, baker's yeast, floral touches and fresh apple and pear notes with twinges of cream, nuts and stone fruit hints. The palate is medium-bodied and rounded and with oodles of savory-laced fruits lifted by juicy acidity on the very long, textured finish. 237 cases produced.

A complex and rich chardonnay with pastry, peaches and oranges. There’s a very dense and deep feel here with rich, toasted, spiced hazelnuts and biscuits and hints of praline and orange sponge cake, too. The tannins bring savory and dry influence to this wine. Impressive.
