All seven of the Williams Selyem whites I tasted for this report were thin, watery and lacking in vineyard signatures.

The 2018 Chardonnay Allen Vineyard has delicate aromas of cheese rind, flint, white blossoms, beeswax and pears. The palate is light-bodied and mineral-driven with tangy acidity and a long, juicy finish. This could use another year or two in bottle.
