Tasting notes
The 2016 Pinot Noir Alberigi has developed into a far richer wine than it was from barrel. That is not a bad thing at all, just an observation. Succulent dark cherry, plum, menthol and spice notes abound. Expressive, forward and juicy, the 2016 has a lot to offer. Hints of blood orange and red flowers add brightness as the wine opens up in the glass. Ultimately, the Alberigi is a wine of real depth and staying power.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Alberigi is a very promising wine. Blood orange, mint, sweet red cherry, star anise and spice notes all take on exotic shades of nuance in this very lifted, gracious Pinot Noir. Savory, mineral underpinnings add nuance to this pretty, detailed Pinot Noir. Bright, saline notes add cut and energy in a chiseled, super-expressive Pinot from Radio-Coteau.
