Score 92/100 · Drink 2016-2031, Robert Parker, Mar 2016
The 2013 Pinot Noir Coopersmith comes from a vineyard on the Laguna Ridge not far from Sebastopol. Merry Edwards and her husband own the vineyard planted with UCD clone 37. The color is dense ruby, almost purple, and the wine shows loads of black cherry, black raspberry, dark fruits, a medium to full body, supple tannins, good acidity and beautiful purity. This is an impeccably crafted, relatively big and juicy style of Pinot Noir to drink over the next 12-15 years, if not a lot longer.

Score 86/100 · Drink 2016-2018, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2016
The 2013 Pinot Noir Coopersmith comes across as quite lean and lacking in fruit, which exposes the tannins and give the wines a strident, rough around the edges quality that is quite unusual here.
