Tasting notes
One of three Pinot Noirs I tasted, all bottled unfined and unfiltered, the brilliant 2013 Pinot Noir Clos Platt is made from 100% Calera clone and about 16% whole-clusters and spent 16 months in barrel. This is a gorgeous Pinot Noir – dark ruby in color, with notes of roasted herbs, blackcurrants and black cherries, forest floor, truffle and subtle earthy undertones.

Giving perfumed red fruit of cherry and fresh berry with mixed baking spice, and a persistent mineral freshness, the 2013 Clos Plat carries nice concentration with mouthwatering acidity, and persistent, well-balanced tannin. This wine will develop nicely with age. (ECB)
Silky, floral and perfumed, the 2013 Pinot Noir Clos Platt impresses for its balance and overall nuance. Crushed flowers, rose petals, mint and sweet red cherries are woven together in a super-expressive, finessed Pinot Noir long on class.
