(14.8% alcohol): Saturated dark ruby. Pungent aromas of cassis, licorice, tobacco and sweet butter. Plush, densely packed and sweet, with a violet element lifting the wine's fat flavors of dark berries and licorice. Distinctly larger-scaled and more mouthfilling than the basic Cabernet Sauvignon bottling, showing a faintly herbal quality but more sweetness. And smoother and longer on the aftertaste owing to greater concentration and extract. Just now entering its plane of peak drinkability.
