Score 91/100 · Drink 2017-2022, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Mar 2017

Skipstone's 2014 Faultline Vineyard is done in a super-ripe style. In this vintage, the wilder, gamier notes are largely baked out, but the wine remains rich, heavy and ripe to the point of conveying an impression of sweetness.

Score 92/100 · Drink 2016-2031, Robert Parker, Oct 2016

The 2014 Faultline Vineyard is 59% Cabernet Franc, 24% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Malbec. It seems slightly less profoundly concentrated than its older sibling, the 2013, but it is juicy, savory and front end-loaded, as so many 2014s are. The fruits tend to move toward the darker red personalities. The wine has some underbrush and forest floor notes along with a medium to full-bodied, succulent texture. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.
