Tasting notes
Bright ruby-red. Deep aromas of raspberry, cassis, violet and minerals. In a distinctly creamy style, but with a rocky minerality and firm acidity framing and lifting the black raspberry fruit. This concentrated, mineral-driven wine shows an intriguing suggestion of grapefruit peel and finishes with noteworthy persistence.

The 1,800-case cuvee of 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma is virtually identical, with perhaps less oak and structure. Both of these Cabernets beg for 4-5 years of cellaring, and should keep for two decades. Tel. (707) 933-1700; Fax (707) 933-1771
Good deep ruby. Primal crushed dark berry and black cherry aromas. Musky flavors of dark fruits, mocha and tobacco are complemented by smoky oak. Big, broad and serious wine, with lovely depth of flavor and enticing sweetness to support its major ripe tannins. This very young wine improved steadily with aeration, finishing with lingering flavors of briary dark berries, smoke and meat.
