Brilliant red. Raspberry and cherry pit scents are lifted by a peppery note and a touch of minerality. Spicy red fruit flavors show a slightly tart edge and become smokier with air. Closes firm and tight, with good clarity and lingering tanginess.

The 2011 Pinot Noir Russian River’s deep ruby color is followed by scents of pomegranate as well as angular, sharp flavors that fall off on the palate. It should be drunk over the next 1-3 years. I tasted three Pinot Noirs from this winery owned by entrepreneur and vineyard empire builder William S. Price, III. Tel. (707) 935-1863
