The 2020 Moulin-à-Vent Clos de Londres, which was known as Clos du Château until the 2014 vintage, comes from vines located just outside the château in the lieu-dit of Moulin-à-Vent. It contains around half whole bunches. It has an enticing bouquet with darker fruit than the Les Grands Savarins, subtle scents of potpourri, licorice, clove, brown spices and sage. Plenty of fruit here. The palate is medium-bodied with the finest tannins of the crus that I tasted from the Domaine. Very well balanced, elegant with a judicious touch of white pepper towards the sustained finish. It will require 3-4 years in bottle.
